Tenor: Dave Madge - Before he joined the Kingsmen the last time Dave had sung on a regular basis was as a choirboy! He is now in his eigth year with The Kingsmen Barbershop Harmony chorus where he sings in the Bass section. He joined Odyssey in 2002 and sings the tenor part which is the other end of the vocal range. (He can't sing the notes in between !). Dave works for an International Bank and when not singing enjoys travel, walking, skiing and kayaking with his wife, son and dog. (actually the dog doesn't ski !)
Lead: Peter Dale - Peter's love for singing started as a boy in a church choir, followed by school musicals, local theatre productions and currently a member of the Kingsmen Barbershop Chorus since 1999 and Odyssey since 2002. A retired police officer, with two grown up children, Peter can be heard singing and whistling through the corridors of his employer's headquarters in Totnes. A keen golfer and gardener he thoroughly enjoys singing with the quartet, albeit that he is a shy and retiring sort of person or not!!
Baritone: Steve Hancock - Steve grew up in a musical household and played in various bands before taking up Barbershop singing in 1996. Steve has sung with the Kingsbridge based Kingsmen Barbershop Chorus since 1996 and was the founding member of Odyssey in 2002.
When not singing he's either watching, listening or talking about sport, especially his beloved Plymouth Argyle (well someone has to, I suppose!). Steve is an Area Director for a major bank, married with two children.
Bass: Dennis Langworthy – unlike the other members of the quartet, Dennis does not come from a musical background and prior to joining the Kingsmen in 1999 had not sung in any group or chorus (not even the Church Choir). However Dennis enjoys singing in the barbershop style and had no hesitation in accepting the invitation to join Odyssey approximately 3 years ago. After 34 years with the Post Office Dennis now enjoys the outdoor lifestyle going back and forth across the River Dart on the Higher Ferry. Dennis lives in Dartmouth with his wife Sally, they have three grown up children.
